I used to be able to switch my phones for FREE. I have had service with metro since they first came to TX.

I always paid my bill on time and never had an issue UNTIL they joined with T-Mobile. 3 weeks ago I called to switch my phone and I didnโ€™t want to use the automatic system. (Which never been a problem before) Spoke to a rep and he said, โ€œit would be a $15 fee immediately or you can use the automatic system and it is free.โ€ Ok, so I used the system. Then a week ago I switched my phones again, remind you I always used the SAME SIMS CARD.

Called TWICE! First time I was on hold for 20 mins and noticed I didnโ€™t hear the automatic system. Second time I was on hold for at least 15 mins. When I finally got someone she said, โ€œThey donโ€™t do the automatic system no more and you will have to either pay $15 over the phone or in a store.โ€ I asked โ€œwhy did they take it out?โ€ She said, โ€œBecause it was too many complaints about the system.โ€ Hmm, but I had too call TWICE and all together I waited 35 mins just for an answer and now you want to start charging people $15 to switch phones...

Yeah ok I donโ€™t see no complaints in the future with the new set up. Smh. Anyways, I hung up and went straight to a metro store. For the people who donโ€™t know the process of switching a phone over its QUICK and SIMPLE!

They get your new phone IMEI number and thatโ€™s it. Unless you change your sims card. It a quick process. For some reason they want you to pay $15 for entering 1 set of numbers and clicking switch.

What sense does that make? Anyways, I went to the store he told me $16, then said I also owed a fee of $19.50 for service. Hmmmm.... How?

I already got service? I know for a fact itโ€™s T-Mobile doing these HIGH FEES cause they are broke and desperate. But honestly everyone will start going to Cricket or Boost Mobile. I plan on switching companies myself, because I know that if they are starting to charge for little stuff like this.

Then they will start over charging for other things. $15 is OVER KILL! Plus, extra fees at a store. Honestly, the system did have a problem with reading the IPHONE keypad, but that could have been fixed.

Matter of fact the last time I used the system it was corrected.

So, for them to take it down and โ€œclaimโ€ it was behind complaints is lies. If thatโ€™s the case I know for a fact once people realize the new set up they will be filled with complaints and I know for a fact they wonโ€™t stop the charge because they want to be penny pinchers.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.
